Lou Albano, also known as Captain Lou Albano, both famous and notorious in the WWF in both wrestling and managing, has died at the age of 76. Of course, for readers here, his most memorable role will probably be that of Mario in the Super Mario Bros. Super Show back in the 1980s. He played Mario in the live-action sequences and also voiced him in the cartoons. As one of the earliest human portrayals of the famous Nintendo character, he will be remembered and missed.
The second thing I want to update with is a little fanart of my own. So you're probably wondering why I barely update this site anymore...well, part of the reason is because I've been spending time working on this: Click on the image to take you to my deviantArt page dedicated to this piece of art. I have taken it upon myself to build a scaled-down 3-D model of Peach Palace from Super Mario 64 and I eventually want to replicate the entire castle. For some reason the architecture from that game fascinated me, so this is what I'm doing in my free time.
I don't know exactly when it happened, but we have very recently reached the 100,000 hit mark! I want to thank all of you for making Absolute Mario what it is, and you and I both know it could be so much better (especially with the updates). On an unrelated note, if any of you are interested, I now have a page on deviantART at http://purple256.deviantart.com!
