Albatoss- Red albatross that can either help you by giving you a ride on its back or hurt you by dropping Bob-ombs down on you. Defeatable: Yes How: Throw something at it Games: SMB2, SMAS
Angry Sun- This sun is very angry, apparently. It is so angry that whoever tries to invade its space will get burned, literally. Watch out when it comes down from the sky! Defeatable: Yes How: Kick a shell at it Games: SMB3, SMAS

B

Baby Cheep- A tiny, young Cheep-Cheep spit out by Big Bertha to hurt Mario and Luigi. Defeatable: Yes How: Defeat Big Bertha Games: SMB3, SMAS
Big Bertha- Giant fish that looks exactly like Boss Bass, but this one spits out Baby Cheeps from its huge mouth. Defeatable: Yes How: Fireballs Games: SMB3, SMAS
Big Bob-omb King- A huge bob-omb with a white mustache and golden crown who rules over Bob-omb's Battlefield. Defeatable: Yes How: Throw him onto the mountain turf. Games: SM64
Big Boo- A giant white ghost figure with a comical-looking face, and acts just like the little Boos. Defeatable: No Games: SMW, MParty, MParty2
Big Mouth (see Morton Koopa Jr.)
Blooper- Squid that can be found in water levels as well as on dry land. It bobs towards Mario. Defeatable: Yes How: Throw fireballs Games: SMB, SMB3, SMAS
Blooper Nanny- Blooper with kids trailing right behind it. All of them can hurt you! Defeatable: Yes How: Tail slash or fireball Games: SMB3, SMAS
Bob-omb- A walking bomb that explodes on contact or when active for too long. Defeatable: Yes How: Throw against another enemy. Games: SMB, SMB2, SMB3, SMAS, SMW, YS, SM64, SSB
Boo Diddly- A white ghost that covers its face when you look at it, but gives chase when you turn away. Defeatable: No Games: SMB3, SMW, YI, YS, SMK, MK64
BOOM-BOOM - A big and lanky creature that travels back and forth, swinging its arms. Some have wings and can fly. They are the guardians of the fortresses in the Mushroom World. Defeatable: Yes How: Stomp three times Games: SMB3, SMAS
Boomerang Bros.- Boomerang-tossing creatures who usually hang out in pairs. Defeatable: Yes How: Stomp Games: SMB3, SMAS
Boss Bass - A giant fish that swims on the surface of water, and will jump at the chance of swallowing Mario whole. Defeatable: Yes How: Throw fireballs Games: SMB3, SMAS
Bowser - The ultimate boss in most Mario games. He has green and yellow skin, horns, a spiky shell and tail and likes to trick the Mario Bros. Defeatable:Yes How:Varies Games: SMB1,3; SMW; MIM; MTM; SMRPG; YI; SMAS; SM64; YS; MParty; MParty2; SMBD

Burt the Bashful- They usually hang out in twos. They jump up and down in a direction and try to squash Yoshi. Defeatable:Yes How:Ground-pound Games: YI
Buster Beetle- A beetle similar to Buzzy but can throw ice blocks and found in cold places. Defeatable: Yes How: Stomp or Fireball Games: SMB3, SMAS
Buzzy Beetle - A fireproof black beetle that can climb on ceilings! Defeatable: No Harmable: Yes How: Stomp and kick Games: SMB, SMB3, SMW, SMAS

C

Chain Chomp (also Wan Wan) - A ball and chain has come alive baring some scary-looking teeth. Good thing it's held back on a chain! Defeatable: Yes How: Use Starman, throw hammer, or stomp on the stump holding it down (only in SM64) Games: SMB3, SMAS, YI, SM64
Chargin' Chuck- These creatures are very athletic. Some play tackle football, and others throw baseballs at Mario. They always seem to hang out near the goal. Defeatable: Yes How: Multiple stomps Games: SMW
Cheatsy (see Larry Koopa)
Cheep-Cheep - Fish that roams the waters and even the skies! Defeatable: Yes How: Stomp (if in air), or fireball Games: SMB, SMB3, SMW, SMAS
Clawgrip- A giant crab that throws rocks at intruders and crawls back and forth. Defeatable: Yes How: Throw its rocks back at it. Games: SMB2, SMAS
Cohort- Bowser's henchman used to steal Power Stars from Mario and his friends by playing a number roulette game. Defeateable:Yes How:Get a higher number than he does. Games: MParty
Colossal Koopa Paratroopas- Giant Koopa Troopa with wings. It can't fly because of its size, so it just bounces. Defeatable: Yes How: Stomp twice Games: SMB3, SMAS

Dino Rhino- a big dark green rhino that turns into mini-rhino after being stomped on once. Defeatable: Yes How: Stomp twice Games: SMW

Dry Bones- A mummified zombie Koopa which comes back to life after you stomp it. Defeatable: Yes How: Use Starman or hit with feather cape. Games: SMB3, SMW, SMAS

Eeries- This is a dinosaur spook that roams the haunted house. It just floats eerily in one direction. Defeatable: No Games: SMW

Fire Bros.- Fire-spitting creatures who usually hang out in pairs. Defeatable: Yes How: Stomp or use Starman Games: SMB3, SMAS
Fire Chomp- A black and flaming orb with a fiery tail. As if it weren't fiery enough, it spits out flames as it floats through the air. Defeatable: Yes How: Stomp Games: SMB3, SMAS
Fire Snake - A series of flames that take the form of a snake bounces around and tries to burn whoever comes near. Defeatable: Yes How: Tail attack or use Starman Games: SMB3, SMAS
Fryguy- This big ball of flame has a hot temper and has the ability to divide itself up into four little flames to make it more difficult for the plumbers and their friends. Defeatable: Yes How: Throw Mushroom Blocks Games: SMB2

Gabon- A little dinosaur-like creature that grows spiked balls and throws it. Defeateable: Yes How: Stomp or lick it up Games: YI; YS
Goomba - A small brown creature that just sidles along the ground with its menacing face. Defeatable: Yes How: Stomp or lick. Games: SMB1, SMB3, SMW, SMAS, SM64, MParty, MParty2
Grand Goombas - even though these are twice as big as regular Goombas, they are no more dangerous. Defeatable: Yes How: Stomp Games: SMB3, SMAS
Green Gargantua Koopa Troopas- This double-sized Koopa Troopas walk in a straight line no matter what. Defeatable: Yes How: Stomp Games: SMB3, SMAS

Hammer Bros.- Hammer-throwing creatures who usually hang out in pairs. Defeatable: Yes How: Stomp Games: SMB, SMB3, SMAS, SMBD

Hotfoot - This tiny flame sits on a candle and waits for someone to walk by, and then it jumps on and chases after them. Defeatable: No Games: SMB3; SMAS
Hothead- Giant electical spark that circles around platforms slowly. Defeatable: No Games: SMW

I

Iggy Koopa (also Hop)- One of the Koopa kids with thick, black glasses and rainbow-colored, wild hair. On the cartoons he is Hip's twin brother. Defeatable: Yes How: Varies within games Games: SMB3, SMW, SMAS
Inviso- A big black blob that can disappear and blend in with its surroundings. It floats around the room. Defeatable: Yes How: Throw eggs Games: YS

J

Jelectro- A stationary black jellyfish who can shock whoever touches him. Defeatable: No Games: SMB3, SMAS

Koopa Paratroopa- A turtle-like creature with wings, but they can't really fly. Green ones bounce in one direction, and red ones bounce back and forth on a platform. Defeatable: Yes How: Stomp or lick. Games: SMB, SMB3, SMW, YI
Koopa Troopa (also Noco Noco) - Simple-minded turtle-like creature. Defeatable: Yes How: Stomp or lick. Games: MB, SMB, SMB3, SMW, SMK, YI, SM64, MParty, MParty2
Kuribo's Goomba- he dons the Kuribo's Shoe and jumps around with it. Defeatable: Yes How: Stomp Games: SMB3, SMAS

L

Lakitu - A strange creature that lives on a cloud and throws spinies and sometimes carries a fishing pole with items at the end of it. No one knows his motives for he's been a helper for the Mario gang in some games. Defeatable: Yes How: Stomp on it, lick it. Games: SMB, SMB3, SMW, SMK, MK64, MParty
Larry Koopa (also Cheatsy)- Koopaling with wild blue hair. Defeatable: Yes How: Varies within games Games: SMB3, SMW, SMAS
Lava Lotus- This plant can only live deep in the sea. It spits out deadly lava bits every once in a while. Defeatable: Yes How: Use Starman Games: SMB3, SMAS
Lemmy Koopa (also Hip)- A Koopa kid with eyes that look like he's always dizzy and rainbow-colored, wild hair. He likes to perform tricks on his circus ball. In the cartoons, he's Hop's twin brother. Defeatable: Yes How: Varies within games Games: SMB3, SMW
Ludwig Von Koopa (also Kooky)- the oldest Koopa kid with big blue hair parted in the middle and one tooth. Defeatable: Yes How: Varies within games Games: SMB3, SMW, SMAS

M

Magikoopa (Also Kamek) - a Koopa wizard that dons as blue sorceror outfit and holds a magical wand. He uses it to cast spells on blocks to transform then into enemies. Defeatable: No Games: SMW, YI
Marching Milde- A tiny cute white blob that marches across the ground. Defeatable: Yes How: Stomp or lick it. Games: YI
Mecha-koopa- A windup toy that patrols the fortresses. Defeatable: Yes How: Kick it against another wounded Mecha-koopa. Games: SMW
Mini-Rhino (also Dino-Torch)- This tiny rhino spits out fire straight up in the air. Defeatable: Yes How: Stomp or lick Games: SMW
Missile Bill- These look like Bullet Bills but they are red instead of black. These also travel in both directions as they seek out their target. Defeatable: Yes How: Stomp Games: SMB3, SMAS
Monty Mole- This is a mole that bursts out of the ground. There's even bigger ones underground. Defeatable: Yes(small ones) How: Stomp or Lick Games: SMW
Morton Koopa Jr. (also Big Mouth)- Koopa kid with a star over his left eye and very grouchy. Defeatable: Yes How: Varies within games Games: SMB3, SMW, SMAS
Mugger Micro-Goomba- A micro-sized Goomba found with the beige Para-Goomba. These tiny creatures hang onto you and cause you to lose running and jumping power. Defeatable: Yes How: Jump repeatedly if its latched on to you Games: SMB3, SMAS
Munchers- Indestructible black plants that usually grow in groups. Defeatable: No Games: SMB3, SMAS

N

Ninji- A dark, star-shaped creature that jumps up and down. Black ones jump in place, but blue ones chase after you and jump. Defeatable: Yes How: Throw something at it or hit it with your cape. Games: SMB2, SMAS, SMW
Nipper Plant- A white plant that jumps when Mario jumps over it. Some can even walk a little! Defeatable: Yes How: Fireball or Tail Attack Games: SMB3, SMAS

Para-Beetle- A flying red beetle, these can be used to stand on when navigating through the sky air. Defeatable: No Games: SMB3, SMAS
Para-Goomba- Red Goombas with wings. These usually don't fly very high, though. Defeatable: Yes How: Stomp twice Games: SMB3, SMAS
Para-Goomba with Micro-Goombas- Goombas with wings that can fly high and also have Micro-Goombas hang onto him. Defeatable: Yes How: Stomp twice Games: SMB3, SMAS
Phanto- A mask face that decorates the wall, but can pose a threat since it guards the keys. If you pick up a key, the face comes to life and starts pursuing you until you put down the key or go through a locked door. Defeatable: No Games: SMB2, SMAS
Pile Driver Micro-Goomba- micro-sized Goomba inside a brick. It jumps and tries to crush you. Defeatable: Yes How: Stomp Games: SMB3, SMAS
Piranha Plant - A red plant with white spots is very dangerous with its big teeth. It usually hangs out in pipes and are easy to avoid. There is even a species of piranha plants that don't back off and even ones twice Mario's size! In Super Mario World, they jump out of the pipes, and also after you beat the Special World, they look like jack 'o lanterns! Defeatable: Yes How: Throw fireballs or hit from side with raccoon tail or cape. Games: SMB1, SMB3, SMW, SMAS, MParty, YI
Piranhacus Giganticus- Piranha Plants that are unusually large, usually found in the Land of the Giants. Defeatable: Yes How: Fireball or Tail Attack Games: SMB3, SMAS
Podoboo- Living bubbles of magma that leap out of lava lakes and also drop off the ceilings. Defeatable: Yes How: Use Starman or Lick Games: SMB, SMB3, SMW, YI, SMAS
Ptooie- A mobile species of Piranha, it juggles a deadly spiked ball with its over-sized lips. Defeatable: Yes How: Tail attack or fireball Games: SMB3, SMAS

Red Giant Koopa Troopas- big Koopa Troopas that walk back on forth on a platform. Defeatable: Yes How: Stomp Games: SMB3, SMAS
Rex - A purple dinosaur (no, not Barney) with small wings. Defeatable: Yes How: Stomp twice or lick Games: SMW
Reznor- Fire-breathing dinosaurs that usually hang out in fours. They guard the fortress of Dinosaur Land. Defeatable: Yes How: Hit all four of them from beneath their platform Games: SMW
Rip Van Fish- This fish is always sleeping, but when someone swims too close, he wakes up and chases whoever woke him up. After awhile, he gets tired and falls asleep again. Defeatable: Yes How: Lick or fireball Games: SMW
Rocket Engines- Big flames that blow out of the engines of airships. Defeatable: No Games: SMB3, SMAS
Rocky Wrench- Turtles who lie underneath airships and come out to throw wrenches at invaders. Defeatable: Yes How: Stomp Games: SMB3, SMAS
Roto-Disc- These strange lights circle around an orb or just float through the air. Games: SMB3, SMW, SMAS
Roy Koopa (also Bully)- A big Koopaling who wears stylish pink sunglasses and likes to act tough. Defeatable: Yes How: Varies within games Games: SMB3, SMW, SMAS

S

Shyguy - A small creature that wears a robe and a mask because it's shy. Red ones walk in one direction, pink ones walk back and forth upon a platform. Some even change color when you ground pound on the ground. Defeatable: Yes How: Throw something at it, lick it. Games:SMB2, SMAS, YI, YS
Sledge Bros.- Big, chubby, sledge-throwing turtles who usually hang out in pairs. When they jump and land on the ground again, it causes a small earthquake and Mario or Luigi is unable to move momentarily. Defeatable: Yes How: Stomp Games: SMB3, SMAS
Spike- Strange-looking creature that grows spiked balls and throws them at whoever comes near. Defeatable: Yes How: Stomp or lick Games: SMB3, SMAS, YI
Spiny - This has spikes on its back and is also thrown by Lakitu as eggs which turn into Spiny when it hits the ground. Defeatable: Yes How: Fireball, tail kick, cape hit Games: SMB, SMB3, SMW, SMAS
Spiny Cheep-Cheep- Navy blue fish with deadly spines upon its back. Defeatable: Yes How: Fireballs Games: SMB3, SMAS
Spiny Eggs- These turn into Spinys, and are thrown by Lakitu from above. Defeatable: Yes How: Lick Games: SMB, SMB3, SMW, SMAS
Stretch- These ghosts live in elongated white blocks floating around in the fortresses and will try to hurt you if you come in contact with the blocks. Defeatable: Yes How: Throw hammers Games: SMB3, SMAS
Sumo Brother- When this creature stamps its foot, lightning strikes, and turns whatever it hits into a sea of flames. He will even attack with a karate chop. Defeatable: No Games: SMW
Super Koopa- A Koopa Troopa without a shell that can fly with its magic cape on. The ones with flashing cape give you a cape feather when stomped on. Defeatable: Yes How: Stomp or lick Games: SMW

T

Thwomp- A stone ghost that guards the castles and fortresses for the Koopas. If Mario comes close, he will try to crush him. Defeatable: Yes How: Throw hammers Games: SMB3, SMW, SMAS
Triclyde- A three-headed snake that spits out bunches of fireballs. Defeatable: Yes How: Throw stuff at it. Games: SMB2, SMAS, SMBD

Urchin- It just drifts in the sea in a pattern usually near a rock formation. Defeatable: No Games: SMW

V

Venus Fire Trap- Piranha Plant that spits out fireballs when it comes out of the pipes. Defeatable: Yes How: Tail attack or fireball Games: SMB3, SMAS

W

Wan Wan (see Chain Chomp)
Wart- A big, bad frog boss of Subcon. He spits out bubbles and hates vegetables. Defeatable: Yes How: Throw vegetables in his mouth. Games: SMB2, SMAS
Wendy O. Koopa (also Cootie Pie)- the only girl in the Koopaling family, she wears a giant pink and white polka-dotted bow on her head and she's spoiled. Defeatable: Yes How: Varies within games Games: SMB3, SMW, SMAS
Whomp- A giant block of stone that stomps around forts and tries to jump on top of Mario when he gets too close. Defeatable: Yes How: Butt-stomp Games: SM64, MParty, MParty2
Wiggler- A caterpillar that turns angry and red when stomped on. There are even ones that evolved into butterflies. Defeatable: Yes How: Lick Games: SMW, YI
